e-miglia 2011: Planning is already in full swing, the strong partners from 2010 have affirmed their ongoing support and new partners have been won over. By the same token, the first rally drivers have already announced their participation for 2011. Every place of the starting field, which is limited to a maximum of 30 participants, is much sought-after.

Just like the premiere in 2010, this year’s rally will once again take place in the first week of August: August 1st through the 5th, 2011.

The e-miglia is a rally. The first “quiet” and clean street rally. Through beautiful landscapes and nature. For electromobiles. With 2, 3, or 4 wheels. Speed doesn’t count here, but constancy and reliability. The e-miglia is an open rally, everyone can participate. The requirements are straightforward: a valid driver’s license, an electrically operated vehicle, and you can be a part of it. The official registration starts on March 1st, 2011. The starting positions are assigned according to the entry of the registration, the maximum of participants is 30.

Offroad Solutions is bringing the e-miglia into being with clear goals in mind: to show the world how competitive and efficient, as well as dynamic and vital electric mobility is. Don’t just preach environmental consciousness, but live it with what – not only the Germans – consider the apple of their eye: your car. Electric cars and electric motorcycles are no longer music of the future.

The starting signal will sound on August 2nd, 2011. A day beforehand, the vehicles will be inspected and technically released, provided they’re in perfect condition in accordance with the regulations. The finish-line will be crossed on August 5th, after about 800 km. In between, there’ll be well manageable daily stages on beautiful routes through the Alpine countries, as well as sportive challenges in special stages on closed-off terrain. For some the journey is the goal, for others it’s the prize money of € 10.000,00.

Don’t forget: the registration starts on March 1st, 2011.
